The Canon MF4450 has a textured grey top and bottoms, with a bright black concave front. The 35-sheet Automatic Document Feeder (ADF) fastens up at the left-hand end of the top sheet and its top flips above to convert the feed tray. The control panel projects almost horizontally from the front of the device. It’s great-designed, with a 5-line, backlit LCD display to the left of an annular navigation circle and with long, lighted mode buttons for Copy, Fax, and Scan.
The Canon i-SENSYS MF4450 print quality is up to Canon’s general standard, with very clean text from the 600dpi head which, with improvement, gives 1200 x 600dpi. Graphics are also well reproduced with soft greys, though there are not many variations between mid-grey levels so colors with related greyscales may be hard to see. The modified text is well-formed, with no removed descenders.
